If you don’t have a mailing address it’s very easy to miss a notification to appear in court. Heck my family moved and my mom didn’t get a letter that demanded she appear in court due to publix hitting her with a fraudulent check charge…over .20 cents

My mom was taken to the jail and then let go because she’s was a white woman with no prior. Though the officer who brought her in treated her like a career criminal and was so proud of himself for “pulling a dangerous criminal off the street ”. The head of the department made him apologize to her.

Compare that with this poor gentleman who was killed over the courts systems failure to actually notify people. Something that was out of his control.

If you suspect someone in your movement of being a long term undercover cop or an informant you either keep that shit to yourself until you know more or you spend the energy to do the research needed to confirm or deny your suspicions.

You do not under any circumstances create a whisper train of rumours, silently drop someone out of your social circle or otherwise isolate someone based on a suspicion.

Imagine if someone did that to you on a hunch. That shit destroys communities and creates paranoia. It’s long term impact is almost as bad as having an undercover or informant around. Do not do it.

Wondering how to do the research needed to confirm or deny your suspicions? Start here:

Also: remember that the FBI actually used suspicions that certain movement members were cops against those movements in the 60s and 70s (and probably still today).

It’s called bad jacketing. An undercover cop in the movement creates rumors or suspicion that someone else, who is not an undercover cop, actually is. This creates paranoia and makes the movement members not trust the person who was singled out, or eachother. It’s used to destroy movements from the inside.

Never start rumors that someone is an undercover cop if you don’t have definitive proof. Actual cops are hoping that someone will make this mistake because it helps them destroy social movementsz

vegans make peace with honey

no shut up do it

vegans will pretend not to hear when natives tell them their agave products are unsustainable because they have whimsical feelings about, and i cannot stress this enough, the freedom of hive insects

Honey is literally murder but go off

Prove it.

They literally puke their guts up to make your honey

I have not seen any evidence tonsugges they are harmed or die in the process of production. They do regurgitate the nectar as part of the process to concentrate it into honey (an interesting process) but they do not suffer any injury during this process. If they did, the cost to produce honey, which is done naturally as a measure to survive over winter and through times of lower availability, would outweigh the benefits. If you kill several bees to produce enough honey to make one more bee, It makes no sense. Any animal that did that would die, even with human intervention.

Do you have any sources which suggest otherwise? I’d be interested to hear of this (relatively publicly available) information was false or misunderstood.

Bee farmers use whats called a honey maker. It’s a crude devices. It similar to a meat grinder. They force the bees in and grind them up. What comes out is a paste. That paste is later filtered into what we know as honey

This is the funniest thing I’ve ever read

@zoologicallyobsessed please show us pics of your bee grinder

they might be falsely thinking about a honey extractor machine. but all these do is you place the beehive frames inside and a motor rotates it at a speed that removes the honey, which is then tapped through a tap at the bottom.

…do they think they put bees in that and spin them around until they vomit…?

do you ever think about how “competition leads to innovation” is a goddamn lie and how much more we could have accomplished by now if we approched science and technology and all such related fields with the goal of cooperation instead

do you ever think about how the first person to walk on the moon did so as an American and not as a human being
